An Overcast Afternoon With Dark Clouds At Cottonwood Pass (July 2, 2006)

Just look at how cloudy and dreary it was up at Cottonwood Pass today.
All those dark clouds, and yet there was not too much precipitation coming down at
the summit or anywhere down Cottonwood Canyon and into Buena Vista. |

As a photographer, I am at least quite pleased with how these
photos came out. And for the top two shots, I did not do any tinkering with the lighting of them whatsoever. |

I did lighten this one up just a bit. It didn't look that dark out there.
Anyway, I spent about an hour walking around and just enjoying the sights at the pass.
I definitely enjoy "people watching" especially when there are tourists enjoying the views,
the cold and the snow that still remains. ;) |

and my foot on a large snow bank that remains on the east side of Cottonwood Pass. It was tough to come up with any other interesting pictures. |
