June 27, 2006 - I took a leisurely drive this evening to Cottonwood Pass just to get out of my house. It was fairly chilly and I walked down to the pond on the Gunnison County (west) side of the pass. Nobody else was around, except for visitors with Missouri license plates who were gleefully having a snowball fight near the parking lot.

Above is the best photo I snapped of the small pool of water with the Three Apostles (including Ice Mountain) in the background. It is such a beautiful place!
