Snow Remaining In The Forest Near Cottonwood Pass (Pictures - June 17, 2006)

I did some hiking inside the Chaffee County side of
the pass and wound up taking some photos of the snow that still remains in the forest. |

More snow! In some parts,
the trees do a great job of protecting the snow from direct sunlight. |

Where did I take these photos? About 1.5 miles east of the
Cottonwood Pass summit. There is still some snow on the sides
of the road up there, but it is definitely noticably melting. |
