Snow Remaining In The Forest Near Cottonwood Pass (Photo Gallery)
June 17, 2006 - I did some hiking inside the Chaffee County side of
the pass and snapped photos of the snow that still remains in the forest. Surely there will be people in places
like Georgia and
Arizona
who will be amazed by this! :)
Ah yes ... snow in June! :)
More snow! At this point in the season, remaining snow can thank
the trees for doing a great job of blocking the snow from direct sunlight.
Colorado wildflowers flowers growing next to a patch of snow.
Where did I take these photos? About 1.5 miles east of
Cottonwood Pass. Some snow exists on the sides
of the road, but it is certainly and noticeably melting.
