A Colorado Sunset At Cottonwood Pass - September 13, 2006
 |
I took a late evening drive to Cottonwood Pass just to get out, clear my head and maybe capture some interesting photography. I arrived at the
Cottonwood Pass summit and photographed the seemingly unimpressive skyscape to the west
(above). Ah, but then I met these three really friendly people. The guy on the left
is in the Army and offered me a swig of his wine. I passed on the wine,
but got to talking to them about 14ers, Manitou Springs (where two of them used to live) and this web site. They were so likable that I had to include them in this picture collection! ;) |

Soon after, the color show began! |

A couple of variations of the same view.
Do check out my Cottonwood Pass Sunset in May 2006! |

Pink and purple reflect on the tundra pool on the Gunnison County (west) side of the divide. |

One last burst of color! :) |
